What is Ultrasonic Cavitation?

Ultrasonic Cavitation is a painless, non-surgical, non-invasive weight-loss treatment that uses low-frequency ultrasound energy in the 25KHz or 40KHz range to burst fat cells. The fatty acids are then removed by lymphatic drainage over a three to four month period.

Ultrasonic Cavitation is recommended for treatment of fat deposits on the abdomen, buttocks, flanks (love handles), arms, and legs. The treatment has also been effective in the removal of cellulite. Multiple sessions are typically needed for best results.

Ultrasonic Cavitation has no recovery time; clients can typically return to work and resume normal activities on the same day.

Ultrasonic Cavitation Before and After Care:

To achieve optimal and long-lasting results, it is highly recommended that you follow your technician’s advice for home skin care before and after treatment.

Because the ultrasound energy excises the fat contents of the cells, but does not eliminate the cells themselves, we recommend 30 minutes of cardio exercise within a few hours to help flush out the fatty acids that have been released; the body needs to metabolize or eliminate them before they’re stored by other fat cells. (Please bear in mind that working out prior to treatment does not achieve this.) If cardio is not an option, infrared sauna sessions and lymphatic massage may assist, as it has a similar effect on the body.

On the day of your treatment, please drink at least 1.5 liters of water before your session, and an additional 1.5 liters following.  Drink at least 2 liters of water each day for the next three days. Your body requires this time to eliminate the newly released fat via the lymphatic and urinary systems following treatment. You should limit consumption of diuretics including caffeine and alcohol during this time.

It is important to stimulate the treatment area following your sessions. You can use a body brush in the shower to promote circulation in the area. Massaging moisturizer into the treatment area is also beneficial. Do this daily to prevent fat and toxins from becoming stagnant and difficult to eliminate.

Maintaining a low calorie, low carbohydrate, low fat, and low sugar diet for 24 hours pre-treatment and three days post-treatment will help achieve the best results. This is to ensure that your body utilizes the triglycerides (fatty acids) released by the ultrasonic cavitation process. If suitable, I also encourage my clients to stick to this diet as much as they can. Many find this to be a great starting point for maintaining a healthier lifestyle in the future.
